S/S 2010 FW

i usually like ChloƩ so when i approved this season, i wasn't too surprised. it was mostly reworked basics with the same color scheme, which is what they're good at. i was pretty startled to see some pretty eclectic pieces. the diaper/karate one? not the first purchase going in my closet this fall.. the angelic goddess dress is basically amour. but, i might add a bra? just a thought, unless you like the LiLo/Lou Doillon for Givenchy look. might not go down to well in this suburban town, i'm thinkin'. and the DENIM OUTFIT. cannotgetoverit. i never would've thought to incorporate it like that, with the strips. and i usually don't care for all over denim, unless you're a fat cowboy motorcycle man. but, for this, it just works. magic.

really diggin' the 40's flapper feel at Collette Dinnigan. but florals? for spring? how original! i mean, the looks are nice with the draping and stuff, but she probably could've gotten a little more adventurous. anywho, the sequined flappers. can i just talk about how much i love sequins? LOVELOVELOVE. okay. just had to get that out. the hair was really soft and feminine in contrast with the definitely-not-40's-conservative lengths of the dresses.

i absolutely loved the looks at Louis Vuitton. the afros were amazing, like the models had just been transported straight outta the 70's! i don't know about the little fur tails hanging off the bags, though. i also don't know how i feel about the whole new FUR trend. or even faux because of what it symbolizes. now, don't get me wrong, ya look pretttty classy. i'm not about to go all PETA on yo assez and throw paint on you er nothinnn'. but i can't imagine wearing a coat of something that used to be little and cute and, well, ALIVE. but, that's the end of my rant, thank god.

basically, i just REALLYREALLY want these Dries pants cuz it looks like there are butterflies pasted all over them. and, i mean, who doesn't want butterflies pasted on their pants? lovin' DVN toujours.

considering getting a new haircut. but... there are so many options! i have sought inspiration from krystal simpson of what is reality anyway and Pip Brown aka LADYHAWKE. annddd i think i want bangs. but my forehead may be too small.. we will seee.
theoretically, they would go like this:

so, also, this is technically my first outfit post! so excitingASZX,MCNWEHJ; i'm about to wear this to see the september issue (annawintourannawintourannawintourrr) and i thought it was fitting, even though i am going out in public. i think that's the best time to let our creative inspiration run wild, espec in outfits! so okay, here goes:

my camera is on the fritz so i was only able to take pictures in sections, but i feel like it's a pretty accurate depiction. this is also my outfit for pretending like i'm at fashion week :)

p.s. can't wait to get tons of fashion week coverage and live vicariouslyy *LOSER*

blouse- anthropologie, skirt- french connection, ankle boots- steve madden

New awesome band: NEON INDIAN
Love, basically. I wish I could've heard them over the summer, definitely some sumsumm jammzz.

So yes, Fashion Week? And I am not there? So sad. I just wish I could've gone to FASHION'S NIGHT OUT. Sounded v. cool. I've started planning my own fashion week/night out, except it doesn't include Kate Lanphear and Anna Wintour. More like.. MY DAD ftw. The itinerary looks like seeing THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE (annawintourannawintourannawintourrr), going out to dinner and generally gallivanting/shopping/raging around San Francisco.

I've decided to invest in a few statement pieces for fall. I have a problem with dressing like its 50/60 degrees, every day, no matter what season. Therefore, I already have a lot of cooler temperature clothes but, these are ones that I find rather necessary once the weather turns frosty.

so basically, i am very jealouuzz at the girls who went to the weardrobe conference in NYCCC. i really wanna meet tavi and arabelle, someday. they seem kinda cooool. and i want to share their awesome fashion knowledge because i know, like, nothing. but that is soon to change, i feel like. i want to ask for a mannequin for christmas. i think that would be a good start.. and i've been sketching a lot lately. so i'll probably put some of those up lataahh
so i saw taking woodstock on friday, and nothing can compete. i mean, emile+naked people rolling in mud+acid trips in paisley covered hipppie vans=insanity? i think so.. it's really intense because emile's character, i forgot his name, has like these extreme 'nam flashbacks and it's crazy to see how people get seriously EFFED UP after war.. :(

also, i was perusing ze internet the other day and came across dese!
oh la la! nicholas kirkwood, you can design me sum shoez anytimmee. i canNOT wait for fashion week, although i am not going. but its gonna happen in the future! forsure. nodoubtinmymind. or at least, go to new york haha.

CREEEP haha sorry

11 August 2009

at the beginning of summer, i made a list of adventures i wanted to complete before it was over. and of course, most of them didn't get completed.. but some did.
for instance, i took the bus into the city with maria and we hung out and tried to act like we knew what was going on which was pretty fun. i made quite a few trips to san francisco, actually. one time, jack and i walked all across berkeley and fumigated the chipotle on telegraph.
buuut the most recent adventure was ...
trapezing!
and all i have to show for it is a raw spot on my hand. it was insane though! definitely something to write home about.. or my blog haha anyway, orientation was today and i CAN'T WAIT for school :D ha ha ha. my ID picture is horrible. but i got new boots for school, so i'm all goood!

they look kind of like this, except without a buckle on the back.

p.s. is anyone obsessed with alexa chung like i am right now? oh my godd

cool so i won't probably posting very much because of mass overload of homeworkk. not that i post much anyways haha

go listen to DR. DOG

20 July 2009

hi, how are you?
i'm fine, thank you. the weather's quite nice today.

i'm talking to my friend on the phone right now and he is just full of inspiration, let me tell you. no, but i wish i was in new mexico right now and then me and him and you would have a cowboy pow-wow desert party. and we would eat balsamic vinegar pancakes.

so it's never too early to think about halloween costumes and so far, i've come up with: alice in wonderland orrr karl lagerfeld

photo shoot by annie leibovitz for vogue, december 2003

that blue dress is really something else and i love the shot with the flamingo and the red queen.

and probz no one in santa rosa would understand if i dressed up as karl lagerfeld, as it is very limited in the fashion department.

powdered wig, black aviators: INSPIRATION

so i can't wait to see TIM BURTON'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND, should be spectacular.
p.s. johnny depp is a menace
